There is a pizza place in downtown Nashua, NH called Pearl St. Pizza that has just started selling vegan pizza and baked goods! I was beyond excited to find this place 15 min away from me. I had their pizza today, great sauce and thin crust, and they used a blend of Daiya cheeses on it. They make their mock chicken homemade, and it is delicious. I ( Read more... )

I just came back from spending a night at Mohegan Sun, a casino and resort in CT. Before going, I searched far and wide on the web for any vegan, or even vegetarian, who had asked what their options were there or reported what they were able to eat. I'm in Boston right now looking for a restaurant for dinner. I checked out happycow and vegguide - I was immediately attracted to Grezzo and TJ Scallywaggles, but the former is too expensive and the latter got a lot of bad reviews. I've already eaten at (and loved) My Thai Vegan Cafe, but I'd like to go somewhere else tonight.

Any recommendations?

I just tried out the new "Belmont St. Vegetarian Restaurant" (seriously... that's the name of the place!) In Worcester. The neighborhood it's in isn't the greatest, but the food is amazing, completely vegan and wicked cheap. It's a tiny little hole in the wall kind of take-out place (think Quan-Yin for you locals.) I'll be visiting Maine in August and was wondering where I'd be able to eat, anyone know of any restaurants that are vegan friendly?  I'm not exactly sure which cities we'll be visiting yet but I'm thinking Portland and Bangor will be on the list.
